We as a computer user like to Download and install new Software's, some make permanent place in our system but most of them get uninstalled within the same day if we din't like it with the default Windows Programs Uninstaller. The default Windows uninstaller just invokes the Program Uninstaller which just uninstalls the Software but not the changes it has done to the System like File Writes and Registry Modifications. Ashampoo UnInstaller 5 is an innovative UnInstaller which monitors the changes done by the Application while installing and removes the changes upon uninstallation of the Application. let see what other features it got and how it performs against other UnInstallers.

The Setup Size is merely just 17 MB and installation took just a minute. Ashampoo software's comes bundled with Ashampoo toolbar which tries to set MyAshmpoo as default homepage and search engine so make sure you select custom installation and uncheck the unnecessary options. Ashampoo Uninstaller 5 comes with 21 different languages. It comes with three different themes to choose from. The GUI (Graphical User Interface) is clean, attractive and clear.

On the launching the Application for the first time you will see an option to ON installation monitor service and check below it to start the service with Windows. If you are Ashampoo Uninstaller 4 user then you are not left behind and can easily migrate to version 5, you make sure to export log files from v4 and import log files in v5 in Log files section.

Ashmpoo UnInstaller 5 automatically monitors installation once you check the option but you can forcibly make Ashampoo to monitor the installation by Installing the software from the Uninstaller, just browse the path and install OR the simpler way is to right click on the setup file and click on Install with Ashampoo UnInstaller 5. Once the installation process is started you can see the Application monitoring the installation process and changes done by the Installation to the System.

Once the installation is complete click on stop. Now to if you want to Uninstall the Installed Application click on Installation tab and  select the Application, Right click and uninstall. please don't reboot the system if the uninstalling application prompts let the Ashampoo Uninstaller uninstall it completely.

The Log files section gives the details of changes done to the system by the Installed Application, double click the application to see the full details. you can even import the log files if you are migrating from version 4.

 The Tools section has some great tools which comes bundled with Ashampoo WinOptimizer. The tools section consist of Drive Cleaner, Registry Optimizer, Internet Cleaner and powerful Disk Defragmenter. It also had File Wiper to completely delete any file and Undeleter to recover accidently deleted files.

In Settings you can switch languages and themes and password protect the Application. Configure Guard to monitor and ignore specific file names and files. you can configure each Tools in setting option.

Conclusion

Ashampoo UnInstaller 5 is simple to use, does the Job well and Compatible with Windows 8 but how it is compared to other Uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller, Actually Revo uninstaller use Advanced Algorithm to scan and remove the left over where Ashampoo Uninstaller monitors the installation and changes done by the Application. We think it is better to monitor the Application Installation, through which complete changes are keep tracked and App can be uninstalled completely from the System. Ashampoo Uninstaller 5 falls flat when you want to Uninstall already installed Application which are not monitored this is where Revo shines and can help remove the Application completely from the system. Both Application has there own Pros and Cons. Ashampoo Uninstaller 5 is good if you bought a new PC, formatted PC OR you don't have enough software installed.

Ashampoo WinOptimizer 9 Review and Serial Key Giveaway

We recently reviewed Ashampoo WinOptimizer 8 and we were quite impressed. It lacked some basic features to configure live tuner and one click optimization but overall packed with some great tools. Today Ashampoo released the latest version of WinOptimizer that is version 9 and it is said to be packed with some great new features, clean User Interface and newer modules. so lets check the latest version of Ashampoo Winoptimizer.

Ashampoo WinOptimizer 9 still comes bundled with Ashampoo toolbar and the program also tries to set MyAshampoo as your default homepage and search so select custom installation and uncheck these three options while installing.

On Launching the program what we see is a Ad asking us to check for missing drivers, huhh? I'm running the full version of Ashampoo WinOptimizer 9 and still it displays Ads occasionally now that's bad!
Anyways the Interface has been revised, the new theme, navigation tabs has been shifted to top instead of bottom, the new speed-o-meter etc. The interface gives a short info of installed Hardware and Software. you have option to run a short maintenance scan, activate Live-Tuner etc.

The Modules tab lists all the available tools and you also have three different views to choose from All Modules, Categories and Function. The Modules tab looks similar to some famous System Optimizing tool maybe because of the theme. you can switch to a different theme in settings.

Some Noticeable Tools

Determine System Performance : Allows to determine the speed of the system and compare online with other systems.

Customize Privacy : Allows you to customize privacy by disabling remote access and tweaking many options.

Disk Defragmentation : Boot time and Pro-Active Defragmentation.

Disk Doctor(new) : Check Hard Drive for Errors.

Registry Defragment(new) : Defragment Registry for faster performance.

Tweaking : Gives lots of options to tweak Windows.

Task Planer : Allows you to plan tasks which can be carried out at specific time without launching WinOptimizer but sadly you can plan only two tasks One Click Optimizer and Drive Defragmentation.

The Favorite Tab lists all the most used modules according to how frequently they were used.

The Backup tab shows the last 10 available backups. you can restore the changes by simple clicking on any backup and click restore. you also set the program to automatically delete backups after certain time period in program settings.

The New GUI is clean, attractive and easy to navigate. There aren't enough new features except HDD Inspector(improved) and Registry Defragment but few old ones like Pro-Active Defragmentation, Boot time Defragmentation works really well. One Click Optimizer still can't be configured at has only three modules by default, same with the task planer. Overall we aren't much pleased with the latest version of WinOptimizer because it comes bundled with same old modules/tools but it is worth a try !

PowerAMP Music Player for Android Review and Giveaway

Most of us like to listen songs on the go and i'm proud to be one of them. I listen to songs on my Android phone but the default Android Music Player is not so good as compared to third party Music Apps in terms of features. Any System running Windows OS often becomes slow due to various reasons and the only way to bring back the fresh feel of the system is by using a good system optimizing tool. The latest version of WinOptimizer comes with over 100 improvements as compared to the previous version which further help in better Optimization.

Setup Installer is bundled with Ashampoo toolbar so make sure you do a custom installation and uncheck the unnecessary stuffs. It also tries to set MyAshampoo as your default homepage and search so just uncheck them.

Interface
The Interface has 5 tabs at the bottom. It also has Main menu at the top which helps to easily launch any individual tool.

Overview

The Interface looks clean and simple to understand. It doesn't ask to choose/set a profile as most of System Optimizing tool do for recommendations. Instead it asks few questions while setting up Tuning Assistant for performance recommendations. The interface gives system information of installed Windows version, CPU and RAM. you have option to enable Live Tuner which Optimize your system at Real-Time but has no options to configure it.

All Modules

This tab contains all the individual tools which are well categorized in various groups.

One Click Optimizer : One Click to Optimize the system it scans for interent traces, clean drives and optimize registry. There are no options in settings to include more tools in One Click Optimizer like Drive Defragmenter etc.

Defrag 3 : WinOptimizer provides a good defragmenter which also has an Option of Pro-Active Defrag. Pro-Active Defragmenter works continuously in the background to defragment your Hard Drives. It also provide Boot-Time Defragmentation.

Service Manager : Provides details of all services and option to stop it. you can also rate any service and it store and shared with other users.

Uninstall Manager : Lets you Uninstall any Application but provides no options for advance cleaning of leftover junks.

System Benchmark : Benchmark your system and compare the result online with other users.

Disk Doctor : Check for any Drive failures.

File Encryptor and Decryptor : Allows you to Encrypt and Decrypt any file with password. Also allows you to generate self-decrypting EXE file so that you don't need WinOptimizer to Decrypt it !

File Splitter and joiner : Allows you to split large files into several parts and rejoin them.

File Wiper : Permanently delete any file so that they are unrecoverable !

Undeleter : Allows you to restore deleted files unless you deleted using File Wiper.

(We only mentioned few interesting features)

Favorite Tab

It lists all our favorite modules in one section. most used modules are listed here so that they are easily accessible.

Backup Tab

The backup tab allows you to manage backups, you can restore backups if any recent changes made by the WinOptimizer didn't worked for you. you can also set back management to delete backups after certain time period.

Statistics Tab

It shows detailed information about all the tasks analyzed and performed by the program.

Don't like the default skin? In Setting you have 3 awesome skins to choose from. you can switch language, password protect the program and change settings of different individual tools.

Conclusion
Ashampoo WinOptimizer 8 is really packed with rich features and has all the tools a good system utility software should have ! The ProActive Defragmenter, Boot Defragmentation and Live Tuner features really shines up but it lacks some basic settings to configure one click Optimization and Live Tuner.

It Automatically puts Internet Browsers, USB Flash Drivers, P2P Clients, IRC, and Email Clients to Untrusted Category which are primary source of Malware. In case of any Malware attack the DefenseWall will automatically block the attack and even you can Stop the attack by Clicking on "Stop Attack" Button which simply terminates all the Untrusted Applications.

The Untrusted Applications tab lists all Untrusted Processes. you have option to enable/disable the process and move the process to Trusted category.

The Advanced Tab allows you to configure DefenseWall. It provides option to configure Pop-up Notification, password protect the application and updates. you can also check the option to automatically run all the applications from Removable disk.

Conclusion
DefenseWall Personal Firewall is world's first sandboxing-style personal firewall which provides robust protection from various e-threats and yes with minimal Pop-ups! Firewall is easy to install and setup, Not much configuration is needed which makes it a best Firewall for Novice users. The only thing we found missing is support for Windows x64 OS.
